IntensiVe ballet

I.B. Pre-professional program for students focused on their classical training.

A program to develop a strong foundation in classical and contemporary ballet. An ideal training program for students preparing for a professional dance career or post secondary education in dance and /or ballet. Our I.B. program will help students reach and focus on artistic excellence, technique, and performance with classical and contemporary variations, which will be prepared and presented at YAGP, and/or other classical forums. This is a full season program and students should be prepared to attend weekend I.B. rehearsals and training in addition to their syllabus classes. Students considering this program are encouraged to also attend the Summer Ballet & Contemporary Dance Intensive. 

Requirements: For students ages 10+ who are enrolled in a minimum of 2 weekly ballet classes, and who are studying at the Intermediate Foundations level or higher. Students will also be required to attend a minimum of one (1) I.B. rehearsal and/or training session weekly. Acceptance is based on assessment class held with the Artistic Director.

• Enrichment classes with guest teachers and choreographers
• Professional drop-in classes with partner partner company/studio
• Classical ballet training outside and in addition to your weekly syllabus classes
• Compete at Youth American Grand Prix and/or other classical competitions
